Charlie’s Many Colors

A picture book for kids who love more than one thing.

Most kids get asked to pick one thing. The favorite subject, the real hobby, the answer to what you want to be. Charlie’s Many Colors is for the kids who never could, and were made to feel scattered for it.

It is the first book in a series about multipotentiality for children. The idea underneath all of them is the same one I keep writing about for adults: loving many things is not confusion and it is not a phase. It is the point.

The series

Twenty or more picture books, one kid per book, each of them in love with too many things to pick just one. No adult swoops in to solve it. The kid works it out.

Charlie is book one, which means Charlie sets the visual language every book after this one inherits.

Where it actually is

I would rather show you the real state of it than a countdown.
